Bed WarsVRChat Edition
Hypixel style Bed Wars running entirely inside VRChat. Eight teams, generators feeding your base, a shop to spend iron and emeralds in, and a bed to defend. Solo and Doubles across two maps, on desktop, PC VR and Quest. Made by a few of us at HoppouAI.
The middle of Mossfall Sanctuary. Four emerald generators, two low and two high, and eight bases watching from the edge.
What a round has in it
Eight teams
Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Aqua, White, Pink and Gray, the same colours Hypixel uses. Teams get handed out when the countdown ends, and parties stay together in Doubles.
Generators
Iron and gold come out of your base forge, diamonds spawn on the four island outposts, emeralds drop in the middle. They speed up and hold more as the round goes on.
The item shop
Quick Buy plus Blocks, Melee, Armor, Tools, Ranged, Potions and Utility. Iron and gold buy the basics, emeralds buy the rest.
Team upgrades and traps
Sharpness Swords, Protection Armor, Haste Miner, four Forge tiers and a Heal Pool, all bought with diamonds. Traps cover Blindness, Counter-Offensive and Mining Fatigue.
1.8 combat
Desktop clicks land up to 10 a second, VR swings run on a 0.4s cadence. Knockback scales with the hit, and a Knockback Stick will put someone off a bridge.
Things you can throw
Fireballs blow up placed blocks and shove people around. TNT runs on a three second fuse. Also ender pearls, bridge eggs, pocket towers and Magic Milk.
Sneaking at the edge
Crouch at a block edge and you hang onto it, same as Java. That means you can bridge out over the void while facing backwards at whoever is chasing you.
Your stats
Level, XP, kills, finals, beds broken, wins, tokens and winstreak are saved to your account. Same XP curve as Hypixel, 500 then 1000, 2000, 3500, and 5000 a level after that.
Spectating
Out of the round? Go to the deck and the spectate board shows any player still alive, from their own eyes.
Two maps, both 8 bases
Solo and Doubles share maps. The room master picks one on the lobby board between rounds, or leaves it on random and gets a different map each game.
Asterfall Observatory
Spruce lodges with teal roofs and a domed observatory sat in the middle. Stone runways run out to the diamond outposts and the whole thing floats over open sky.
Mossfall Sanctuary
Stone brick temples over plains ruins. Your bed sits inside a big open mouth under a three layer overhang, with stairs climbing both sides onto the roof.
Forty minutes, then it ends
Rounds need 2 players for Solo and 4 for Doubles. The countdown is 40 seconds normally, drops to 25 once there are 8 of you, and 10 once there are 16. Everyone standing in the world when it hits zero gets a team.
Fall off the edge and there are about 70 blocks of nothing below the islands. Your first death is a respawn, five seconds parked over your own base looking down at it. Lose the bed and the next one is final.
Disconnect and your slot is forfeit, and the last person out of a team breaks that team's bed for them.
Tags over your head
There is a tag shop on the lobby island. Tags show over your head for everyone in the world, and you can write your own if none of the presets fit.
- Get VRChat (free on Steam and Quest). No VR headset needed, desktop works great.
- Open the world page and hit Join, or search "Bed Wars VRChat Edition" in game.
- Walk to the board in the lobby, flip it between Solo and Doubles, then hit JOIN GAME. You go up to the deck over the map and the countdown sorts the teams out.
