The Bird Band is 12 VRChat accounts playing different MIDI instruments together, in sync, live. One conductor process keeps everyone on beat and it can chew through some genuinely complex MIDI files.
It ran on a stack of VMs, each one logged into its own account with its own instrument assignment. Watching 12 birds nail a full orchestral piece in a public lobby never got old.
VRChat and Easy Anti-Cheat now block running the game in a VM, which is how we ran that many accounts at once. So the full 12-piece lineup is semi-retired, but smaller setups still come out to play.
